Meet Nancy Carrazco AVANCE-Austin Alumni!

Nancy Carrazco, our esteemed 2022 AVANCE-Austin Avanzando Honoree, is a shining example of the transformative power of the AVANCE-Austin Parent-Child Education Program (PCEP). As an alumni from the 2019 cohort, Nancy has exemplified dedication and commitment to her child’s development. During her time in the program, Nancy embraced the knowledge and skills provided, learning how to nurture her child’s brain through the magic of everyday interactions like playing and reading. These seemingly simple activities have proven to be profound in their impact on her son, Cain’s, life.

One of the most significant outcomes of the PCEP for Nancy and Cain was the timely identification of developmental delays in Cain’s speech. Thanks to the program’s watchful approach, he was referred to external organizations for speech therapy, ensuring he received the specialized support he needed to thrive. Nancy’s unwavering determination and active participation in the PCEP have not only transformed her son’s life but also inspired others in the community. Her dedication serves as a testament to the immense potential of early childhood education and parental involvement in fostering a child’s growth.
