A New Home for AVANCE-Austin

Exciting changes are already happening for 2015! Beginning Tuesday, January 20th, AVANCE-Austin’s new administrative offices will be located within the Allan Early Childhood Center (4900 Gonzales Street – and formerly Allan Elementary). We are excited about our new and permanent home, as it will allow us to partner with the Austin Independent School District, Austin Voices for Education and Youth, and the community around the former Allan Elementary School.
Austin ISD has provided 5,000 square feet of space for 4 permanent classrooms (rooms 112-116) for our signature Parent-Child Education Program and administrative offices. Having this new facility will help us grow our capacity for our programs and help address the critical need for early childhood and parenting education to 25,000 low-income families and children under the age of 3 who are at risk of not being Kindergarten ready.
The Allan Early Childhood Center also houses organizations that help facilitate early childhood outreach in the surrounding community. These include Child Inc. Head Start classes, the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas’ Play & Learning Strategies program (PALS) and Austin ISD early childhood classes.
We are excited and proud to be part of this new community where our parents and children deserve a place that is filled with dignity and respect that they can feel proud to share.
We will continue serving our Del Valle ISD, Manor ISD, and Austin ISD program sites throughout the rest of the 2014-2015 school year.
During the 2015-2016 school year, we will hold several groups at the Allan Early Childhood Center, as well as in in the community.
As of January 16, the AVANCE-Austin administrative offices will no longer be located at 4818 E. Ben White Blvd, Suite 205.
