Honor your loved ones and the legacies they have left behind and take part in our celebration of Latin heritage, tradition, and culture!

When: Wednesday, November 2, 2022

Location: Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

Time: 6:00-9:00 PM

Tickets: Prices start at $10

This special holiday is celebrated annually within the Latino culture and we are proud to showcase and honor the lives that have impacted our community. Join us to have dinner under the stars, explore the beautiful gardens of the Wildflower Center, and engage in opportunities and hands-on family activities to immerse yourself in Latino tradition and cultural heritage.

We will begin the first hour of the event with a special dance performance by JWSD Studio, followed by a reading of the iconic children’s book, Rosita y Conchita. Afterward, enjoy two hours of high energy, impossible not to dance to music by AVANCE-San Antonio alumna, DJ Kickit.

Quench your thirst and fill your tummies with mouthwatering tacos y agua frescas from Sarita's Tacos. Don’t forget to check out all the activities we will offer while you are with us! You can get your face painted, attend a paper flower making workshop, and a skull mask decorating workshop.

We are expecting over 150 families to join us in our celebration. The goal of the event is to celebrate Hispanic culture and support AVANCE-Austin programming through ticket sales, raffles, and donations. This event will include opportunities to learn about this beautiful tradition and invest in our educational programming.
